National Life Group Adds Four Index Crediting Options to SummitLife Indexed Universal Life (IUL) Insurance, Expanding Choice for Policyholders and Large-Case Opportunities for Financial Professionals

For Immediate Release

Montpelier, VT (Sept. 28, 2026) – National Life Group announced that two new indexes and four new index crediting options are now available for its SummitLife Indexed Universal Life Insurance product that provides a death benefit of $1 million or more. The updated crediting options allow policyholders greater choice in how their policy value can potentially grow without being directly invested in the market.

The new options – based on the performance of the Bloomberg Mavin 10 Index, Nasdaq 100 Multi-Asset Edge 8% Index and S&P 500® – offer different approaches, allowing policyholders to select an option based on their financial goals, perspective on the underlying indexes and comfort with risk.

About the New Index Crediting Options

  • The Bloomberg MAVIN 10 Index focuses on diversification through exposure to U.S. large-cap equities, Treasuries, the U.S. dollar and gold. By spreading exposure across multiple asset classes, the index is designed to prioritize more consistent risk over maximizing returns during rising markets. It may appeal to those seeking diversified, multi-asset exposure, faster response time in risk targeting and a transparent, rules-based approach.
  • The Nasdaq 100 Multi-Asset Edge 8% Index™ focuses on innovation, combining exposure to U.S. large-cap technology stocks, gold and U.S. Treasuries. Its returns may differ from those of the S&P 500® and may be lower during periods of strong market rallies. The option may appeal to policyholders seeking growth potential driven by innovative, U.S. large-cap companies.
  • The S&P 500® No Cap and 2% Floor provides broad U.S. market exposure through 500 large-cap U.S. companies. Its performance depends on that segment of the market and may appeal to those seeking long-term growth potential tied to U.S. large-cap companies. The two new options join the existing S&P 500® Cap Focus and Participation Focus.

Policyholders can select one index or allocate policy value among multiple crediting options. Future allocations can also be updated as goals, market perspectives or financial needs change. As with other indexed universal life products, policy value is based in part on a portion of the performance of the selected index crediting option, but policyholders' money is not directly invested in the market.
