President Joe Biden appoints National Life Group’s leadership spokesperson Olympian Chaunté Lowe to the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition

Chaunte Lowe PresentingMontpelier, VT - (March 31, 2023) National Life Group’s leadership spokesperson, four-time Olympian and record-holder in American women’s high jump Chaunté Lowe, has been named by President Joe Biden to the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition, the White House announced.

Lowe joins 26 other appointees to the Council, including Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim and professional basketball player Stephen Curry in promoting physical fitness and healthy nutrition to all regardless of background or ability.

The Executive Order announced on March 24 “allows for continued promotion of the National Youth Sports Strategy and provides for the work of the Council to include a focus on expanding national awareness of the importance of mental health as it pertains to physical fitness and nutrition,” according to the release. One of National Life’s core causes is to support programs that address children’s mental health.

In 2022 Lowe partnered with National Life to inspire employees and agents alike with her inspirational story of overcoming hardship as a child to realize her dream of competing in the Olympics and of later overcoming breast cancer and using the Olympic platform to raise awareness about early detection.

“I am truly honored to have a seat at the table where critical discussions about childhood hunger, sports, and fitness of American citizens will occur,” Lowe said. “Actions speak louder than words, and I am thrilled to share the ‘GOOD’ modeled through National Life Group, their work with Dallas’ Vogel Alcove, and the various ‘ending childhood hunger initiatives’ spearheaded through National Life with the leaders of our nation.”

“Chaunté embodies the very best of National Life’s ‘do good’ culture, and this prestigious appointment recognizes the power of her profound impact on those she touches,” National Life Group Chairman, CEO and President Mehran Assadi said. “It is an honor and a privilege to work with her and she will be a great asset to the Council.”
