National Life announces Vermont Community Foundation match of Do Good Fest donations to the Vermont Foodbank up to $100k

Beats for Good 2025

Montpelier, VT - (July 8, 2025) National Life Group is thrilled to announce the Holly and Bob Miller Charitable Fund, a donor advised fund at the Vermont Community Foundation, will match every dollar that the National Life Group Do Good Fest® raises for the Vermont Foodbank, doubling up to $100,000.

“National Life’s commitment to building stronger communities is what makes Do Good Fest such a powerful platform for impact,” said Dan Smith, president and CEO of the Vermont Community Foundation. “This generous match by the Holly and Bob Miller Charitable Fund is a meaningful reflection of what’s possible when mission-driven partners come together in their community.”

Born out of the company’s “Do good, Be good and Make good” values, Do Good Fest has brought national and local acts to the back lawn of its Montpelier campus since 2014 and has raised over $2 million to support its communities.

“At National Life, we believe in the power of community to drive meaningful change,” said Mehran Assadi, Chairman, CEO, and President of National Life Group. “Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Holly and Bob Miller Charitable Fund, every dollar raised at this year’s Do Good Fest will have twice the impact in the fight to end childhood hunger in Vermont. Together, we are turning music into meals and compassion into action.”

The Vermont Foodbank is the sole recipient of this year’s Do Good Fest, reflecting a core cause of National Life to end childhood hunger.

“This support comes at a critical time for Vermont families,” said John Sayles, CEO of Vermont Foodbank. “We are grateful for the community’s commitment to ensuring every child has access to nourishing food.”
