Montpelier, VT (August 2, 2021) -The National Life Group Foundation added three new board members.
Nimesh Mehta, Dawn Minter, and Scott Rogers join the Foundation’s chair, Tom MacLeay, and directors Mehran Assadi, David Soccodato, and Beth Rusnock to further its charitable efforts in Vermont and the Dallas, Texas area.
Nimesh Mehta has worked with the Foundation to help with efforts including the coordination of our Necessities Drive to benefit The Family Place in Addison, Texas. Mehta and his family have a long history of doing good in the community with a focus on tackling hunger and providing domestic violence victim support. Mehta’s inclusion on the board will provide insight into nonprofits and opportunities in the Dallas area, home to National Life Group’s Texas campus.
Dawn Minter has a wealth of nonprofit experience. As a current board member of the Vermont Children’s Trust Foundation, Minter also served with Revitalizing Waterbury, the Waterbury Planning Commission, and The Children’s Room. In addition, she worked at the Vermont Land Trust, a well-respected nonprofit, before joining National Life. Minter’s understanding of the nonprofit landscape in central and northern Vermont will be valuable to the Foundation’s work in National Life Group’s home state.
Scott Rogers has deep ties to the community. Prior to joining National Life, Rogers worked at the Vermont Agency of Transportation where he effectively navigated local politics and community issues with diplomacy. He was appointed to National Life Group’s culture fellows and has been an ally and advocate in planning and supporting numerous “Do good” initiatives such as the 2020 Thanksgiving community meal and Do Good Fest.
