National Life Announces Do Good Fest Headliner, Opener and the Return of Beats for Good

Spectrum Services and National Life Group FoundationMontpelier, VT - (April 17, 2023) The National Life Group Do Good Fest will be headlined by the Plain White T’s, a two-time Grammy nominated American Rock Band, the company recently announced. It also revealed Vermont favorite, All Night Boogie Band, will lead the line-up, with other bands to be announced soon.  National Life is once again partnering with Star 92.9 to present the National Life Group Do Good Fest on the company’s back lawn in Montpelier. The event will be held on Saturday, July 15.

“At National Life we believe in the power of connection,” said Mehran Assadi, Chairman, CEO, and President of National Life Group. “And what a better way to do it than through music. National Life is a financial services company with a soul. Hosting this benefit concert is one way of the many ways we reflect that.”

The concert will again benefit Branches of Hope, the cancer patient fund at Central Vermont Medical Center’s National Life Cancer Treatment Center. The past Do Good fests have raised more than $350,000 for the fund.

The company is also bringing back Beats for Good, a high school music competition for Vermont students. This year there will be a grand prize winner as well as a first and second runner-up. The grand prize winner will open Do Good Fest from the main stage and win $5,000 for their school’s music program. The runners-up will also have the opportunity to play at Do Good Fest and win $2,500 and $1,000 respectively for their school’s music programs. All three winners will have exclusive backstage access to meet the local and national musicians.

In addition to the music, Do Good Fest will also have more food trucks than ever, a beer and cider garden offering Harpoon products run by Cornerstone Pub and Kitchen, an exclusive VIP lounge, face painting for kids, and a Nonprofit Village where festival attendees can learn about local causes and how they contribute to the vitality of the community. The event will be capped with the Fest’s famous fireworks display.

Advance tickets are required. While the concert is free, a donation to Branches of Hope is strongly suggested.
