The growth of the company depends on the growth of its people. National Life Group encourages all employees to continue the learning process as part of their professional development.

NLGroup University is the training and development program for all National Life Group employees. Its mission is to help employees acquire the skills and competencies needed to execute on company strategies and to raise their level of performance, and growth.

Leadership and Employee Development Opportunities

Providing employees with training and on-the-job learning are key success factors to achieving high performance. To help employees be successful, we offer a variety of training courses which include core technology training, employee and leadership development, financial planning and wellness lunch and learn sessions. Classes are held in Montpelier and Dallas, with some classes being offered online via WebEx or eLearning for our numerous off-site employees.

Tuition Reimbursement Program

National Life Group offers a Tuition Reimbursement Program, for employees to improve skills and education needed in present jobs and to prepare for positions of greater responsibility. The program covers any undergraduate or graduate courses offered by an accredited college, university or school.

LOMA

Employees are encouraged to participate in courses from the Life Office Management Association (LOMA), which offers insurance and financial services industry education. Programs are offered for customer service, annuities, reinsurance, compliance, agency administration and more. Sessions are held in the spring and fall of each year.

Professional Industry Designations

The insurance and financial services industry offers many professional designation and licensing programs.
