Louise McCarren is a Director of National Life Group and was elected to the Board in 2002. McCarren is Chief Executive Officer of Western Electricity Coordinating Council. She is a director of ISO New England. She is the former Chair of the Fletcher Allen Board of Trustees and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Vermont Business Roundtable, the Vermont Technology Council, VTAC, Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce, the New England Council, and the Board of Trustees of Vermont Law School. McCarren is the former president of Verizon-Vermont, former chair of Vermont's Public Service Board and was an assistant to the president of the University of Vermont.
