National Life Group Introduces “Next Generation” UL Products

(January 17, 2008) Montpelier, VT - Life Insurance Company of the Southwest (LSW), a member of National Life Group, has enhanced two popular universal life products, Harbor and Horizon, within its comprehensive product portfolio. National Life Group continues to offer more options and flexibility for its clients in the middle, emerging affluent/affluent, and business owner markets.

Harbor and Horizon Universal Life products allow two additional opportunities for those seeking traditional fixed universal life product solutions with high current and guaranteed rates. In addition, they are the first LSW products designed for the pension planning market. Harbor continues to be a middle market product focusing on family protection with restructured guarantees: 5% guaranteed interest rate for the first 10 years and 3% thereafter. Horizon is a flexible, cash accumulation product most applicable for the emerging affluent/affluent markets. With the addition of the Additional Protection Benefit (APB) and Balance Sheet Benefit (BSB) riders, Horizon is particularly relevant for the business owner market as well.
