DeSantos Elected to SBCA Board of Directors
|
(February 20, 2007) Montpelier, VT — Matthew DeSantos, Vice President of Marketing for National Life Insurance
Company, has been elected to the Small Business Council of America (SBCA) Board of Directors. As a member of the Board, DeSantos will help
determine the organization’s legislative priorities and assist in strengthening the SBCA so that it can continue to act as a powerful
voice for small business in Washington.
The Small Business Council of America is the only national organization whose sole purpose is to represent the interests
of private and family owned businesses in federal income and estate tax, health care, pension and other benefit concerns. The primary goal of the
SBCA is to enact favorable federal tax and employee benefit laws for small businesses and their owners. The SBCA supports legislation that creates
important economic incentives, and opposes oppressive and burdensome laws and proposals.
“It’s an honor to be such an integral part of the SBCA,” DeSantos said. “National Life Group has supported this organization for
years due to its advocacy for small business, one of our key markets. Small businesses in America need dedicated representation in Washington and I look
forward to participating in that cause.”
