Jim Cronin Joins Sentinel Financial Services Company As Head of Sales and Distribution

(December 7, 2006) Montpelier, VT - Sentinel Financial Services Company announced that Jim Cronin has been
named President of Sentinel Financial Services Company. His responsibilities will include directing and managing Sentinel’s sales
and distribution strategy.
Sentinel Financial Services Company distributes the Sentinel Funds and is a member of National Life Group.

Prior to joining Sentinel, Cronin served as Senior Vice President for MFS Investment Management, where he
was responsible for wholesaler management and sales of mutual funds, separate accounts and retirement plans through all distribution
channels in the Northeast. Before that, he served as Senior Vice President at Alliance Capital Management, with sales management
responsibility for the eastern U.S., and has also held senior sales and management positions with AIM Management, LPL Financial
Services and American Finance Group. He earned his B.S. in economics from Bentley College.
